We have one child who is almost 7. I finally got fed upnwith my no drug use to get prego theory and broke down for the Clomid/ iui procedure. Took 5 days of 100mg Clomid for 5 days then on day 13 went in for the follicle check and sure enough. Had one follicle that measured 33 mm .......HUGE egg. Well so they gave me the trigger hcg shot and then we went in for the iui the next day...... Two weeks later today....I started my period again. Off to round 2 now but doc wants to know try to check my follie size earlier than day 13.
They really want to see the follicle size at 18 mm. Thoughts are that the 33 mm follicle was too mature.
I have also had 3 miscarriages so this is a huge step forward for me.....miscarriages tend to make you not want to try for a while.......
I say try the Clomid and iui.
The Clomid didn't make me feel different at all. The hcg trigger shot was the tricky one. Didn't hurt but sure made me feel preggo for the two weeks of
waiting. Other than that.....I am going for round 2 and anxiously waiting for day 5 so the egg can get a bit of a boost.
My doc says the Clomid is just basically, a push for someone who has a generally regular cycle with, unsuccessful efforts.
Let me know if you have any more questions....happy to share with u..Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14577112146787789024noreply@blogger.com
